Product Information
tuned: E,A,D,G,C,F, (from highest to lowest string)
A bajo sexto (Spanish: "lower sixth") is a type of 12 string guitar,
fused with a bass, used in Mexican / Tex Mex music.
This Bajo Sexto is made with the same reverence for heritage as the traditional Mexican music it is used in. Primarily used to play bass and chordal accompaniment in a conjunto group, this guitar’s lowered tuning gives it a very rich and resonant sound. This Bajo Sexto is carefully crafted from an all spruce top for superb resonance and brilliant sustain. The back and sides are built strong with mahogany. This guitar also features a decorative rosette and authentic Bajo Sexto strings. Finally, our Bajo Sexto guitar is built with a 4-band EQ pickup for added value. This great pickup saves valuable install time. It also gives players a variety of sonic applications to use it in.
