Paul Stanley Bio
World renown rock icon, Paul Stanley, is the guitarist, vocalist, principal songwriter and co-founder of the rock band Kiss
and has reigned supreme as one of the single-most recognizable frontmen in the history of rock and roll.
In his Kiss persona of “Star Child” Stanley has rocked the world in his Spandex and platform boots for more than thirty years and released more than thirty albums.
Stanley began playing guitar at the age of thirteen and was mostly self-taught.
He joined his first band at the age of fifteen and went on to form Kiss with Gene Simmons in the early 70’s.
Even after more than thirty years of performing, Kiss is still one of the most successful, influential and top-grossing bands of all time.

The Buzz Feiten Tuning System™
The Buzz Feiten Tuning System™ is a tempered tuning formula, which uses a compensated nut and saddle to correct the inherent intonation problems of the Western tuning formula.
The system that Buzz devised has been a godsend to guitarists. Fans of the system include Eddie Van Halen, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Liona Boyd and Andy Summers.
The Buzz Feiten Tuning System™. is standard on all USA made Washburn guitars and basses and is featured on select imported models.
Washburn is the only major guitar manufacturer to incorporate the system as a standard feature on production guitars.
BUZZY'S TUNING HINTS:
There are three easy ways to tune your guitar equipped with the Buzz Feiten Tuning System™.
TUNE IT BY EAR
If you think you've got a pretty good ear, go ahead and tune it to whatever system you've been using; it will sound sweeter than a regular guitar.
TUNE IT TO AN ELECTRONIC TUNER
We like the Korg DT7 (a very popular tuner), but any electronic tuner will do the trick.
FOR THE PRO OR SEMI-PRO
If you need absolute precision for recording and concert work, or want to adjust your own intonation, we recommend a user-pro grammable tuner,
such as the Korg MT1200. Your dealer will be happy to provide you with a simple, one page programming guide.
Tune slowly and carefully. The results are well worth the few seconds of extra effort.
When you tune, try to center the needle for the attack not while the note is dying out. It's always better to be tuned a little flat than a little sharp.
*How The Buzz Feiten Tuning System™ Works*
The Buzz Feiten Tuning System solves tuning and intonation problems with 2 simple steps:
1. Shelf Nut
Our exclusive Buzz Feiten Tuning System¨ (BFTS) Shelf Nut moves the strings closer to the first fret according to our Patented Formula.
This eliminates sharp notes at the first three frets.
Buzz Feiten Tuning System Shelf Nut
Top View : Each Shelf Nut is precision machined from high quality bone for superb tonal response.
Our Lightning Bolt Logo is machined into the top of each Shelf Nut for authenticity.
Side View : The strings are moved closer to the first fret a precise distance based on the scale length, fret width and string gauge of your guitar.
The slight overhang of our nut (the 'Shelf') does this without altering your guitar in any way. So it's even fine for vintage guitars.
2. Intonation
Your guitar's bridge is adjusted according to our Patented Pitch Offsets,
creating balanced intonation over the entire fingerboard - every fret - every string.
